Guangdong Financial & Trade Vocational College

Founded in 1973, Guangdong Finance and Trade Vocational College is the only public higher vocational college in Guangdong Province specializing in finance and commerce. Its predecessor was the Guangdong Provincial Finance School, a national key secondary vocational school. In March 2019, it was officially established as Guangdong Finance and Trade Vocational College with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, and began enrolling students in the same year. The college has over 18,000 full-time students and two campuses in Guangzhou and Qingyuan, covering approximately 870 acres with a building area of ​​310,000 square meters.

The college fully implements the Party’s education policy, adheres to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, upholds the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talent, is based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, serves national strategies and regional economic development, explores a distinctive development path for vocational education in finance and commerce, and upholds the school motto of “Cultivating Morality and Excellence, Enjoying Learning and Practicing Diligently.” In its 50 years of operation, it has cumulatively trained over 60,000 graduates, provided over 15,000 correspondence students, and trained over 100,000 financial and economic cadres. According to incomplete statistics, a large number of our graduates serve as key financial personnel in various cities and counties of Guangdong Province. Most of the mid-level cadres in the province’s tax and financial systems are either graduates of our school or have received continuing education at our school multiple times.
